A video capturing the moment a young baby boy sees his father with a shaved head for the first time has gone viral.

The hilarious clip sees eight-month-old Mason Carter Harris sitting in a high-chair as his father Greg Harris Jr, 31, enters the room behind him in New York.

It is understood that Greg previously had his hair styled in a mohawk fro, and was unveiling his new trim haircut to his son for the first time when the funny incident occurred.

The hilarious 16-second video was shared online on Tuesday March 19 and begins with Mason sitting comfortably in a high-chair.

The video, which was filmed by his mother Melissa Harris, 33, then pans over to the side of the room.

As father Greg enters the room, the baby can be seen turning his head to look at him.

Greg can be heard saying ‘hi’ as his adorable little boy stares up at him.

And although baby Mason might have initially been looking forward to seeing his father, things quickly changed.

Locking eyes on his dad, the adorable little boy realizes that his dad no longer has hair.

Instead, he is sporting a short, tight haircut.

And when Mason realizes that his father has a new look, he isn’t happy about it.

The tiny baby turns his head back toward the camera and lets out a sigh before he holds his head and begins crying.

He then begins sobbing uncontrollably, before turning around to take another look at his dad’s new hairdo.

After seeing his father for a second time, Mason’s opinion on the haircut is still the same.

He, once again, leans his head into his arm and lets out a squeal as he sobs.

By the end of the clip the devastated baby is hysterically crying with one hand on his head.

Mason’s mother Melissa, who is filming the video, can be heard laughing at the hilarious situation.

Melissa, who is a teacher and also mom to Kayden, eight, said she didn’t expect the video to become so popular.

She said: ‘I didn’t expect any of this! We just thought it was a fun moment to share with family and friends. And now its everywhere.

‘Mason is such a charmer, fun and loving. He always has a smile on his face.’

Since the video was posted on Tuesday, it has gone viral. The clip has already received over 132,000 views, and has gathered hundreds of comments.

One person commented on how ‘cute’ the baby is, while another called the baby ‘adorable’.

Meanwhile, others thought it was hilarious that the baby ‘did a double take’ of his own father.
