One pro-family activist has given the United States an F for its foreign policy – primarily for pushing an agenda that has nothing to do with foreign affairs.
For example, one of the White House’s latest moves on the foreign scene has gone against Uganda for passing a law earlier this year that strengthened criminal penalties for homosexual sex and made life sentences possible for those convicted of breaking the law.
Uganda’s foreign minister defended the law, saying promotion and exhibition of homosexuality “is wrong for our young people and it offends our culture.”
Subsequently, the U.S. decided to refuse visas for Ugandans believed to be involved in corruption, but also because the federal government feels Uganda is violating the “rights” of homosexuals.
“I think the Obama administration is obsessed now with promoting homosexuality and gender confusion across the world,” says Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. “It’s interesting to me that they’ve targeted Uganda, but they haven’t targeted any of the Islamic countries [where] some of the radical Islamic policies towards homosexuality are far more draconian than anything a Christian nation like Uganda has proposed.”
