WMXD Mix 92.3 in Detroit, known for R&B, urban oldies and old-school Hip Hop, is welcoming its newest voice. Award-winning gospel singer and reality TV star, Kierra Sheard, 26, is set to debut her own Sunday morning show.

On March 30th, the newest BET “Sunday Best” judge will kick off the inaugural episode of the as yet unnamed program which will air Sundays from 7:30-10:00 am.

Fans will be given the opportunity to choose a name for Sheard’s weekly show, which can be heard through Clear Channel Radio, as well as the iHeart Radio app.

The driven entrepreneur who earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wayne State University in 2011, is a great fit for broadcasting. Her effervescent personality shined brightly in March 2013 as a BET “Celebration of Gospel” correspondent.

In one-on-one interviews, the emerging media maven brought laughs, fun and charisma to the star-studded affair.

“I’m trying to be like you. How am I doing?” Sheard asked legendary television veteran Dr. Bobby Jones. “Oh, you’re above me,” he laughed graciously and told her, “You’re doing great. You look super!”
