Tim Tebow Makes Stupid Statement: Says Winning a World Series Would be More Meaningful to him than Winning a Super Bowl

New York Mets prospect  Tim Tebow told Sports Illustrated this week a World Series championship would be more meaningful than winning a Super Bowl.

“I think because of the ups and the downs and just the battle of picking something up that you haven’t done in 12 years, I think it would mean more,” Tebow said.

The Mets signed Tebow last fall, following a tryout for more than a dozen baseball scouts.

Tebow, a former Heisman Trophy winner, played in 19 games for the Mets in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .194.

When Mets players report to spring training camp Feb. 14, Tebow will not be among them. Tebow instead is expected to report to the Mets’ minor-league camp in Port St. Lucie, Fla., later in spring.

The Atlanta Braves will first meet the Mets at Disney this spring on March 10.
