WATCH: President Obama Sends Video Message to the National Baptist Convention’s Annual Meeting

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, delivered a video message to the 134th annual session of the National Baptist Convention, USA, on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The president called Dr. Julius Scruggs his “friend” and thanked the members of the convention for “the good works you do every single day as brothers and sisters in Christ.” Obama also said he was “grateful” for the convention’s support of the My Brother’s Keeper mentoring program.
