Employee at Kandi Burruss’ Blaze Steak and Seafood Restaurant Arrested After Shooting Co-Worker at Georgia Business

A man accused of shooting a coworker Wednesday evening at reality star Kandi Burruss’ restaurant Blaze Steak and Seafood is now behind bars.

Blaze employee Henry Darden, 41, was arrested Thursday night on a charge of aggravated assault in the shooting that sent another restaurant employee to a hospital, according to South Fulton police. Officers received a call around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after a weapon was fired during a fight at the restaurant on Cascade Road.

The shot struck the employee in the arm, and Darden ran away before help arrived, a police spokesperson said. The victim’s injures were not considered life-threatening.

Police had asked for the public’s help to locate Darden in a social media post circulated earlier Thursday. In addition to the assault charge, he is facing charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to police, Darden was arrested in Atlanta without incident. He was being held Friday in the Fulton County Jail and his bond had not been set.
