Daniel Whyte III Wonders Why Evangelicals and Christians Love to Quote That Popular Verse Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” But They Don’t Quote it Regarding a Bad Marriage or a Marriage That is Turning Sour. All of a Sudden DIVORCE is the Answer

Evangelicals and Christians Love to Quote Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” regarding all of the Unfortunate Tribulations, Troubles, Trials, Tests, and Tensions in all Areas of Their lives. Evangelicals and Christians quote it for Miscarriages; They Quote it for When Someone Dies Prematurely, they Think; They quote it when the Car Breaks Down on the Highway; They quote it for job Losses, but Strangely When these Same People Find Themselves in a Bad Marriage or When the Marriage Goes sour they do not Quote That Verse — Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  In fact, after 43 years of preaching and dealing with married couples, I have Never Heard a Couple Quote that powerful verse when the marriage is bad or is going sour. Rather, they ignore the Bible  all together and the solution in their minds, oftentimes, has nothing to do with the Bible or that powerful verse. The solution in their minds is DIVORCE.
