Nine-Year-Old Boy in Russia Killed, Friend Critically Injured in Wolf Attack Near Forest

A nine-year-old boy died and another was horrifically injured after a wolf attacked the duo while they were swimming near a forest.

Shocking images of the surviving boy’s injuries show how the wolf ripped chunks of flesh from his neck and leg.

His friend’s savaged body was found later in an area of woodland after the wolf dragged him away during the attack in Kidero, Dagestan, southern Russia, on July 28.

A third friend had escaped unscathed.

The children—aged between seven and nine—had been swimming when they were confronted by the wolf.

Gruesome photographs of the injured boy, taken in hospital, show a lump of flesh hanging out of his neck.

Another shows a huge, gaping wound in what looks like his leg.
