Many gathered at the first Westminster Presbyterian Church in Steubenville on Friday to honor a man who lived a life of service.
A blue sky and sunshine as the backdrop for Bishop Roy Dawkins’ funeral.
Those who knew and loved him came from near and far to pay their respects.
“The tone is a tone of celebration while there is great sadness and sorrow, but we’ve all come from around the country to celebrate our fallen brother as God has taken him home,” Bishop Theodore Brooks, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
Dawkins made his home in Steubenville in 1985 when he began his ministry at the Greater Zion Temple Family Worship Center.
