A 26-year-old woman was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal damage to property.
The woman tore down a photo of slain police officer Ella French from a memorial at the Thompson Center and throwing it away at a nearby train platform.
Officer French was shot to death August 7. Her partner Officer Carlos Yanez was also shot. He was seriously injured.
The woman was handcuffed with handcuffs belonging to French’s partner when taken into custody.
