A female boxer has been left unrecognisable after a brutal ten-round beating that saw her take 236 punches to the face.

Miriam Gutierrez was dominated by unified featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano while on the undercard for Jake Paul‘s rematch against Tyron Woodley.

The bashing she took was evident in a post-match picture with Serrano in which she sported an extremely swollen face.

Serrano won the lightweight bout in an unanimous decision – 99-91, 99-90, 100-90 – at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Saturday.

She landed 37 punches on Gutierrez’s face in the first round alone before firing off another 199 on her opponent in the remainder of the match.
