Trevor Noah sues New York hospital and orthopedic surgeon for negligence over surgery he had last year which left him with ‘severe and painful injuries’

Comedian Trevor Noah has filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court against the Hospital for Special Surgery, inset, and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Riley J. Williams, right, claiming that they were ‘careless in failing to treat and care for [him] in a careful and skillful manner’ when he underwent surgery on November 23, 2020. He argues in court documents they failed to use proper diagnostic tests and prescribe proper medications, while also not discontinuing other medicines, resulting in ‘severe and painful personal injuries, mental anguish and a loss of enjoyment of life.’ A representative from the hospital said the claims were ‘meritless.’
