On the surface, it appears that the world is in a state of rampant confusion. Division, distraction, and disillusionment are pervasive. Society seems more polarized now than ever, with a growing divide between liberals and conservatives, have’s and have nots, believers and non–believers. But alas, such disequilibrium is all too common and probably always has been.
What we are experiencing now is a heightened sense of division, leading to dissonance among us. Perhaps value systems have changed, with less emphasis on belief in the Almighty, and more interest in activism. There is no easy answer to the challenges we face; it is an agglomeration of social, political, demographic, racial, and religious elements tearing at the very seam of human decency.
Christ The Savior Presents the Solutions We Seek
At the risk of sowing further discord, it is wise to present solutions rather than focusing on the problems. Christ the Savior, as highlighted in the Doctrine of Christ, is merciful, tolerant, understanding, and forgiving. In the , we learn about atoning sacrifice. But to embrace all that we need to learn about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – the Trinity – we need to understand the Savior’s Atonement. Justice is served by dint of Jesus’ sacrifice. Through his blood, we are saved. The joyful principles of Christ are available to all who are receptive to accepting of his goodness, mercy, and forgiveness.
Many of us are blessed with an innate sense of goodness. We are blind to the differences that divide us, but we see everything that is well-meaning inside every one of us. It is love of God that allows for love of man and woman. When our focus shifts from the physical world to the metaphysical world, we gain perspective on our lives. As human vessels doing God’s work on earth, we are imbued with a sense of duty to do his bidding. There are many ways to deliver on expectations, much like the work being conducted by the and its gifts from the Land of Christ, Israel. A little light can illuminate a cavern of darkness. Anyone can carry the Land of the Bible in their hearts, and in their hands.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespassers as we forgive them their trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.’

The gift of giving is a glorious one. When we give of ourselves and our possessions, we are rewarded multi-fold, in this life and the next. Being a Christian is being a good citizen.
