unfoldingWord Invited to Join Every Tribe Every Nation Bible Translation Alliance

unfoldingWord is pleased to announce that it has been asked to join the Every Tribe Every Nation (ETEN) alliance of Bible translation organizations.

Based in Orlando, FL, unfoldingWord is a provider of open-licensed Bible translation resources and training. ETEN is a coalition of 11 organizations whose collective purpose is “partnering to provide God’s Word in everyone’s heart language in a format they can engage with so their lives may be transformed.”

In close cooperation with ETEN’s vision, unfoldingWord’s purpose is to partner with church-planting movements to establish a church in every people group and the Bible in every language. unfoldingWord does that through the Gateway Languages Strategy, which utilizes a core set of open-licensed, easy-to-use Bible translation resources and training in 50 of the world’s most widely-spoken languages.
