Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman Steffen Seibert says Germany won’t tolerate anti-Israel protests stemming from tensions in the Middle East.

A video showed dozens of protesters outside a synagogue in Gelsenkirchen waving Palestinian and Turkish flags while yelling hateful remarks about Jews.

Merkel condemns Hamas’ ongoing firing of rockets at Israel and “nothing can justify such terror.”

Steffen Seibert further said, “our democracy will not tolerate anti-Semitic demonstrations.”
