Active-Duty Marine Maj. Christopher Warnagiris Charged in U.S. Capitol Riot

Maj. Christopher Warnagiris, 40, of Woodbridge, Virginia, was arrested and charged for his participation in the Capitol insurrection.

He is the first active-duty Marine to be charged. Warnagiris was seen on video scuffling with a police officer and helping members of the pro-Trump insurrectionists force their way into the Capitol.

He is being charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, and obstruction of justice.
