Man Arrested on Suspicion of Defrauding Government Paycheck Protection Program

Mustafa Qadiri of Southern California man has pleaded not guilty to charges of defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program for his personal use. He is charged with receiving $5 million dollars in federal funds for phony businesses. In addition, he used the money for expensive vacations and to purchase a Ferrari, a Bentley, and a Lamborghini.

Qadiri was arrested and will go to trial in June on multiple charges: bank fraud, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, money laundering, altered bank records, fake tax returns, false information about employees. His lawyer refused to comment on his client’s situation.
