West Virginia Local Governments Takes Three Major Drug Distributors to Court for Causing Opioid Addiction Crisis in Area

AmerisourceBergen Drug Company, Cardinal Health Incorporated, and McKesson Corporation are defendants in a landmark opioid trial as Cabell County and Huntington city of West Virginia claim all three are responsible for the surge of opioids in their area. Witnesses claim, over an eight year period, some 80 million doses have been distributed in the area.

Results from this lawsuit could affect hundreds of similar lawsuits already filed across the country.
