Macon , Georgia – Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Macon City Auditorium 415 First Street Macon, GA 31201.
Reverend Bryant Wardell Raines served as the beloved Pastor of The New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Macon, GA. He was the newly elected President of the 6th District of The General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia Incorporated. He was the founder of “Heal the Hood Initiative” to combat violence and address the needs of the total community.
He was a 1995 graduate of Central High School and a 1999 graduate of Clark Atlanta University. He graduated from The United States Army Chaplain Center where he served in The United States Army as the Chaplain Assistant for the Installation Garrison Command, 3rd Infantry Division, and the 4th Battalion 64th Armor Regiment of Fort Stewart, GA.
Pastor Raines was a dedicated and faithful spiritual giant to The New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, the community and throughout the state of Georgia and touched numerous lives around the world. Pastor Raines’ leaves a wealth of love that will forever be cherished by his wife, Ilashia Brezial Raines, mother, Barbara Tharpe Raines; siblings; Curtis, Jr., (LaTonya), Varina (Calvin), and Shun (Cheryl); adopted sisters; Angie, Jacquelyn and Tammy; in-laws; Elizabeth Brezial, Robert (Lashonda), Kimberly Hill; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his lovable extended family of The New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.
