Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #719.
My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ gave them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the Coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,258,460 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 104,043,420 people worldwide.
Second, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to Ynet News, Israel and Kosovo signed an agreement to establish diplomatic relations in a virtual ceremony on Monday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in September the two countries agreed to establish diplomatic ties, with the Muslim-majority nation apparently planning to open its embassy in Jerusalem in a deal brokered by the Trump administration. Israeli Foreign Minister Ga-bi Ash-ke-na-zi and his Kosovo counterpart agreed on the virtual ceremony after the government closed Ben Gu-ri-on International Airport for all commercial flights in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus. This is the first time that bilateral relations will be signed online but the move received the Justice Ministry approval.
Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS — According to Fox News, The head of U.S. Strategic Command is calling for military and federal leaders to reimagine methods of deterring aggressive action from rivals such as China and Russia, including the ‘real possibility’ of nuclear war. In a stark assessment of the current geopolitical landscape, STRATCOM Commander Adm. Charles Richard warned that China and Russia have ‘begun to aggressively challenge international norms’ in ‘ways not seen since the height of the Cold War.’ Richard cited a rise in cyberattacks and ‘threats in space,’ as well as their investment in advanced arms such as nuclear weapons.
Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 14: Serving in the Kingdom, Part 2” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”
Tragically, two of the greatest enemies of Christian service, selfishness and laziness, have cheated many of God’s people out of the rewards they could have received. Second John 8 warns us not to “lose those things we worked for.” Although we will not lose our salvation, it’s possible to forfeit our rewards by yielding to temptation. The Bible says we reap what we sow. This life serves as a time of planning; the next life includes the harvest. Just as the farmer must work hard in the spring in order to harvest a crop in the fall, we must dedicate ourselves to serving Christ now in order to receive our rewards in eternity. This truth should motivate believers to embrace a life of Christian service.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
The Bible makes it clear that God is keeping the records. All who serve the Lord will be rewarded for that service. In addressing this very issue, Jesus promised to reward every believer “according to his works” at the time of His second coming. We should not serve Christ merely to earn rewards, but He assures us that we will indeed be rewarded for our faithful service to Him.
Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic in our next podcast.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.” In light of that, we are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. It is a collection of what he called “prophetic tracts” that focus on the believer’s duty in light of the signs which point to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
This section is titled, “Scattered Israel to be Gathered” (Part 19). J.C. Ryle writes:
(5) Hear what Amos says: “And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.”
(6) Hear what Obadiah says: “But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness: and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”
(7) Hear what Micah says: “In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted: and I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in Mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.”
If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
If you are not ready for the Return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. Here is how:
First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…” Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Now that is bad news, but here is the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.
Romans 10:9-13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
