New Year’s Eve Fire Closes Hutchins BBQ in McKinney, Texas, Indefinitely

The McKinney Fire Department was back at the scene Monday investigating a New Year’s Eve fire at Hutchins BBQ.

According to the department, units arrived just before 10 p.m. Thursday night to find flames coming from the roof at the rear of the restaurant.

“The call was upgraded to a structure fire,” according to a department news release. “Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control.”

The restaurant, located at 1301 N. Tennessee St., was closed at the time. One employee was inside but was able to escape safely.
