Jacob Blake Released from Wisconsin Hospital, Moved to Spinal Cord Rehab Center in Chicago

Jacob Blake, whose shooting by a Kenosha police officer led to unrest in the city and sparked protests around the nation, has left the Wisconsin hospital where he’d been recovering and moved to a spinal cord injury rehabilitation center in Chicago.

Attorney Patrick Cafferty, who represents Blake on potential criminal charges, said he had no other details about Blake’s condition.

Messages to Blake’s other lawyer, nationally known civil rights attorney Ben Crump, were not immediately returned Wednesday.

Blake, 29, was shot in the back multiple times as he was getting into a car Aug. 23 as police with guns drawn were ordering him to stop.
