Bruce Williamson, Former Lead Singer of The Temptations, Dies at 49 from Coronavirus

The Temptations‘ former lead singer Bruce Williamson has died.

Williamson died Sunday night at his Las Vegas home after battling coronavirusTMZ reported. He was 49.

“There’s no words in the world that can express how I feel right now,” his son Bruce wrote on Facebook. “I love you Daddy thank you for being awesome thank you for being loving thank you for being Who You Are I pray to God and we will meet again. I love you Daddy R.I.H KING WILLIAMSON.”

On Monday, Bruce, 28, went live on Facebook with the caption: “Hurt is not the word for it.”

“A lot of us loved him,” he said in tears. “My dad was a great dude.”

Bruce then sang gospel song “I Won’t Complain” by Rev. Paul Jones and a few other songs in honor of his father.

“In my eyes, we lost an icon,” he said before ending the live video. “I’m going to make sure his legacy lives on.”
