TEXT: Daniel 7:13-14
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Ryan Braught said, “Our hope then is that the true Savior, the true Lord, King Jesus himself will come from heaven and change everything. He is going to transform the entire world so it is full of his glory, full of the life and power of heaven. And so the hope of the second coming is based on the biblical confidence that Jesus will 1 day return to this world, restore creation, heal his people and make all things new.”
Tim LaHaye said, “Just as Ezekiel saw a vision of the One seated on the throne “with the appearance of a man”, so Daniel saw in his vision of the heavenly tribunal One like a “Son of Man.” This Son of Man is distinct from the Ancient of Days and submissive to Him, yet He is given everlasting dominion over all the nations and is worshipped by them. He came on the clouds of heaven and is eternal. Despite these unique characteristics, higher critical scholars have understood this enigmatic figure either as the angel Michael of as a corporate identity as the saints or the “people of the saints”-that is, the Jewish people. By contrast, Jewish apocalyptic writers clearly understood the Son of Man as an individual having divine status.
Given this usage and interpretation by the Jewish intertestamental authors, we should not be surprised that this test is the main Old Testament reference for Jesus’ use of the term “Son of Man”, or that He and the New Testament writers understood this figure as a heavenly or divine Messiah. Jesus cited this passage when teaching about His second advent and during His trial before the Jewish high priest when answering a question concerning His messianic credentials. For this reason, in both Jewish and Christian circles, “Son of Man”has traditionally been understood in a Messianic sense. Christians, therefore, identify Daniel 7:13-14 as a central messianic prophecy that reveals a divine Messiah who not only will receive the inheritance of the nations and the messianic kingdom, but also one who is distinct from the Father (the Ancient of Days) and is connected with humanity (Son of Man). The Son of Man’s “coming in the clouds” is connected with the second coming by Jesus and the New Testament writers.
It is evident from this text that the kingdom bestowed by the Ancient of Days upon the Son of Man will conquer and replace the previous kingdoms on earth and therefore will not come until the end time. This conquest will happen at the second advent, when Christ smites the nations in “the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty” and “the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our God [‘Ancient of Days’] and of His Christ [‘Son of Man’]”. In the same way the third kingdom will “rule over all the earth”, so will the kingdom of Christ that replaces it. This description is in harmony with the earlier vision of the great statue and indicates that the messianic kingdom will be established on earth rather than be a spiritual or heavenly rule exercised through the church.”

Now, if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, I urge you to trust in Him because He is coming again and you do not want to be left behind. Here is how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and the consequences of sin.
First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”
Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.
Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.
If you just trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, I declare to you that based upon the Word of God, you are now saved from Hell and you are on your way to Heaven. Welcome to the family of God! Congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
