Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #690.
My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ gave them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the Coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 573,041 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 13,103,290 people worldwide.
Second, today, under the Sign category of FAMINES — According to Arab News, Locust swarms have swept over farms in central, southern and eastern parts of Yemen, ravaging crops and stoking fears of food insecurity. Residents and farmers in the provinces of Marib [MAH-RIB], Hadramout [HAH-DRAH-MOOT], Mahra [MAH-RAH] and Abyan [AB-YAN] said that billions of locusts had invaded farms, cities and villages, devouring important seasonal crops such as dates and causing heavy losses. Hussein Ben Al-Sheikh Abu Baker, an agricultural official from Hadramout’s [HAH-DRAH-MOOT] Sah district, said, “This is like a storm that razes anything it encounters.” Images and videos posted on social media showed layers of creeping locusts laying waste to lemon farms in Marb, dates and alfalfa farms in Hadramout and flying swarms plunging cities into darkness. Abu Baker added, “The locusts have eaten all kinds of green trees, including the ses-ban tree. The losses are huge.” Heavy rains and flash floods have hit several Yemeni provinces over the last couple of months, creating fruitful conditions for locusts to reproduce.
Third, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to New York Post, A squirrel has tested positive for the bubonic plague in Colorado. According to health officials, the squirrel is the first case of plague in The Town of Morrison, Jefferson County, which is about 17 miles southwest of Denver. Public health officials wrote, “Plague is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Yer-sin-i-a pes-tis, and can be contracted by humans and household animals.” However, if proper precautions are taken, the risk of getting plague is “extremely low.” Humans can get infected through bites from infected fleas or animals. Symptoms of plague can include high fever, chills, headache and nausea, among other signs, occurring within a week of exposure.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “How Close Are We to the End?” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”
We are undoubtedly fast approaching the final chapter of human history. The hoofbeats of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse can now be heard in the distance. The stage is set for the final act of human drama. The clock is ticking away the last seconds of any hope for a reprieve. We are being swept down the corridor of time to an inevitable date with destiny.
How much time is left? Only God knows. We must use every means at our disposal to preach the gospel of God’s saving grace everywhere we can while we still have time. This is not the time to rest on our laurels. Rather, we have a window of opportunity, by the grace of God, and we need to take advantage of it right now. It is time for us to take seriously our responsibility to evangelize the world in our lifetime.
If we do not meet this challenge and fulfill our obligation, every kind of false religious cult, every kind of secular materialism, and every kind of moral perversion will rush to fill the vacuum. We alone have the truth that can set the world free from spiritual oppression. We must be willing to do all we can to fill that void—now!
Jesus Christ said what we all must realize at this crucial hour: “As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work”. To the ancient church at Philadelphia, our Lord said, “I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it”. God has also given today’s church an open door to preach the gospel where it has not yet been heard. May we rise to the occasion, recognizing that the ultimate struggle for world dominion is between the forces of Christ and the forces of evil.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.” In light of that, we are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. It is a collection of what he called “prophetic tracts” that focus on the believer’s duty in light of the signs which point to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
This section is titled, “Idolatry to be Destroyed at Christ’s Coming” (Part 22). J.C. Ryle writes:
IV. And now let me show you, in the last place, the ultimate abolition of all idolatry. What will end it?
I consider that man’s soul must be in an unhealthy state, who does not long for the time when idolatry shall be no more. That heart can hardly be right with God which can think of the millions who are sunk in heathenism, or honour the false prophet Mahomet, or daily invoke the Virgin Mary, and not cry, “O my God, what shall be the end of these things? How long, O Lord! how long?”
Here, as in other subjects, the sure word of prophecy comes in to our aid. The end of all idolatry shall one day come. Its doom is fixed. Its overthrow is certain. Whether in heathen temples, or in so-called Christian Churches, idolatry shall be destroyed at the second coming of our Lord Christ.

CLOSING PRAYER

Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
If you are not ready for the Return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. Here is how:
First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…” Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Now that is bad news, but here is the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.
Romans 10:9-13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
