Three priests in the Archdiocese of Mobile have COVID-19, said Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi, head of the archdiocese.
Rodi on Tuesday asked for prayers for the three priests in a post on social media. The three priests are the Rev. Jim Cink, the Rev. Norbert Jurek and the Rev. Paul Zoghby.
St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Foley said Zoghby went to Thomas Hospital for treatment after his oxygen saturation levels dropped.
Cink, pastor of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos in Spanish Fort, announced Monday that he had tested positive but had not had symptoms for the previous 10 days. Cink said he has not had contact with anyone in the community since June 28. His prognosis is “quite good,” he said.
Please pray our three priests who are C-19 positive: Frs. Jim Cink, Norbert Jurek and Paul Zoghby. Pray especially that Fr Zoghby will leave the hospital soon, and that all three will have a quick recovery.
