PODCAST: Iran Centrifuge Assembly Center Suffers Major Damage in Explosion (Second Coming Watch Update #926 with Daniel Whyte III)

This is Daniel Whyte III with the Second Coming Watch Update. This is update #926. Let’s take a quick look at today’s prophecy-related headlines which point towards the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it.

First, today, under the Sign category of TURMOIL IN THE MIDDLE EAST — According to The Jerusalem Post, David Albright, president of the Institute for Science and International Security, said nearly three-quarters of Iran’s main centrifuge assembly hall was destroyed by the recent explosion there. Albright indicated that this latest revelation is based on two new satellite overviews showing a much fuller picture than footage that was released last weekend, indicating that the vast majority of the centrifuge assembly hall was wiped out. This could mean there will be increased delay to Iran’s nuclear program, since it will have to recover from the incident. Albright said, “It is clear that a major explosion took place, destroying nearly three-quarters of the main centrifuge assembly hall, generating a fire that blackened a major portion of the building, the blackening visible where the roof had been blown away by the explosion.” According to the latest report by the think tank, “High-resolution commercial satellite imagery… shows that the Iran Centrifuge Assembly Center at the Natanz [NAH-TANZ] Enrichment Site has suffered significant, extensive, and likely irreparable damage to its main assembly hall section.”

Second, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to The Associated Press, A deep undersea earthquake hit off the coast of Indonesia’s main island of Java on Tuesday, but no injuries or serious damage were reported. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake measured 6.6 magnitude and was centered about 58 miles north of Batang [BAH-TANG], a coastal town in Central Java province. It was about 328.5 miles deep. The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said the temblor was 6.1 magnitude and did not cause a tsunami. Daryono [DAHR-YO-NO], an agency’s official who goes by a single name, said people felt mild shaking as far as Bali [BAH-LEE] island as the epicenter was very deep.

Third, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to The Jerusalem Post, two groups involved with arranging immigration to Israel claim the country could see a sharp increase in immigration over the next few years spurred on by the coronavirus crisis. The chairman of the Jewish Agency — a nonprofit focused on bolstering Israel-Diaspora ties and immigration to Israel — told an Israeli parliament committee on Monday that Israel should expect some 250,000 new immigrants over three to five years. Israel normally absorbs about 30,000 immigrants per year. On Wednesday, Nefesh B’ Nefesh [NEH-FESH BAH-NE-FESH], an organization that assists Jews from English-speaking countries in immigrating to Israel, reported that in June 2020, the organization received 1,350 immigration applications, compared to 399 in June of last year. Nefesh B’ Nefesh [NEH-FESH BAH-NE-FESH] also received 25,435 phone calls to its call center requesting information about the immigration process, in comparison to 5,349 in June 2019.

Fourth, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to The Washington Post, Chinese public health authorities are taking precautions to prevent a bubonic plague outbreak in a remote northern region after a herder contracted the disease, although experts say the risk is low given the limited number of cases so far and the availability of modern medicine. The health commission in Bayannur [BAH-YAH-NAO-ER] in Inner Mongolia raised its public health warning to its third-highest of four alert levels and banned the hunting, skinning and transportation of rodents that might carry the bacteria, known as Yersinia pestis [YER-SIN-EE-AH PES-TIS]. The municipal government raised its alert level by one notch to “standard plague outbreak alert,” which means humans have been infected. Bayannur’s health commission said in a statement, “There is a risk of a human plague epidemic spreading in this city.”

Fifth, today, under the Sign category of ARAB HOSTILITY TOWARD ISRAEL — According to The Jerusalem Post, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinians are prepared to return to the negotiating table with Israel under the auspices of the Quartet, which comprises the US, EU, UN and Russia. Abbas told Russian President Vladimir Putin during a phone conversation that the Palestinians want the proposed negotiations to be based on “international legitimacy” and with the participation of other countries. The PA’s official news agency Wafa [WAA-FAA] said, “Abbas briefed Putin in the latest political developments, particularly regarding Israel’s annexation plan, which is rejected by the Palestinians, the Arabs and the international community.” Abbas expressed appreciation for Russia’s rejection of the Israeli plan to apply its sovereignty to parts of the West Bank “by force and its support for the Palestinians’ right to independence and freedom.” The PA agency said Putin voiced his country’s support for the two-state solution and stressed the importance of reviving the peace process on the basis of international resolutions and under the sponsorship of the Quartet.

The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Ezekiel 34. Ezekiel 34:22-24 reads: “Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.”

Allow me to share with you some commentary on this passage from Exploring Bible Prophecy from Genesis to Revelation, by Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson.

On the other side it is argued that this is King David resurrected to assume a role in the millennial government as ruler under King Messiah. Even though there is an emphasis on singleness of leadership in this passage and elsewhere, David could still be considered a vice-regent ruling over Israel for the Messiah after He has established the messianic kingdom and secured Israel within it. He is called “prince” in Ezekiel 34:24 and 37:25, a term that looks at the religious role of the leader with the people as a regent under God as in chapters 44-48. However, Ezekiel 37:24 states, “My servant David will be king (Hebrew, melek [MAY-LAKE]) over them,” which has in view the political rule of the shepherd. King David, who had been chosen by God because he was “a man after [God’s] own heart,” had the responsibility as king to uphold God’s commandments.

At David’s coronation it was stated that the Lord said to him, “You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be a ruler [Hebrew, nagid (NEY-JHIY-D)] over Israel.” As God, the Messiah would exercise the supreme position of rule over all the earth, receiving worship at the millennial temple in Jerusalem from both Israel and the nations, while David would represent Him to Israel alone. In fact, David is mentioned by name in other eschatological texts that focus on national Israel’s restoration. Some would also identify David as “the prince” Ezekiel mentions later; however, there are formidable reasons against this proposal. The term “raise up” does not refer to David’s resurrection but to his royal installation, as the hiphil [HI-PHIL] of the Hebrew verb qum [KUM] was used of “establishing or setting up” ancient rulers in their office.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at the prophetic passages of the Bible in our next broadcast / podcast.

Our Second Coming quote for today is from Oliver B. Greene. He said, “God did not judge Sodom until Lot was safe outside the city walls. Nor did God utterly destroy Jericho until Rahab was saved. This will be just as true in the future; God will not judge this earth, nor the wicked in the final judgment, until the Church is taken out of the earth. That promise is clear: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” This verse definitely refers to the great Tribulation period. The Rapture takes place at the beginning of chapter four. A door is opened in Heaven and a Voice cries out, “Come up hither!” And the Church is raptured out of the earth to meet the Lord in the air.”

Let’s Pray

If you are not ready for the return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. Here is how.

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here is the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
