Although hairdressers may still be closed, grooming parlours are starting to throw open their doors again to tend our four-legged friends.
And just like the expected stampede when hairdressers open in July, there has been a mad rush for dog owners to get their pooches in for an overdue pampering session, too.
When Pets at Home reopened its puppy parlours last week it said it had 45,000 dogs on the waiting list. And what a difference it makes!
Robyn the schnauzer looks like a puppy again after shedding her bushy eyebrows and shaggy mane.
And Ivy the cockapoo has gone from a hairy hound to a poised pooch after a few hours at the salon.
You know you’ve let yourself go during lockdown when your bandanna doesn’t fit you any more – but after a session with the shears, Jeeter the labradoodle was back to his best.
And Snowflake joins the line-up of dogs now looking Crufts-ready after their owners took them for a much-needed wash and trim.
