Sex Doll Genie says it is looking to hire scores of new people to keep up with a surge in demand for its models. The company says it has received “hundreds” more enquiries than usual

A sex doll supplier says demand has shot up so much it is struggling to keep up.

Sex Doll Genie co-founder, Janet Stevenson, said it has received “hundreds” more enquiries during the coronavirus lockdown.

And demand has soared so much, the company is planning a recruitment drive to keep customers happy.

She said: “We have lots of products in stock but we can’t work fast enough to keep up with demand.

“We are hiring as quickly as we can and have created several new roles in fulfilment management and customer support in both the US and Europe.”

Customers range from singles to couples.

There has been a rise of 51.6% in orders from single men in February and March, with a 33.2% year-on-year increase from couples in April, reports Forbes.

The majority of products supplied by Sex Doll Genie are dolls, but it does have some models that use technology.

Fellow Sex Doll Genie co-founder, Amit, told Daily Star Online his company is planning to supply sex robots that breathe and have a human-like heartbeat.

He told us: “For one of the brands we have now, it’s called AI AI-Tech, who have taken the next leap and have added some AI to it.

“There is one coming out by the end of this year where you can hear the heartbeat and hear them breathe.
