Doctors at George Washington University created a 360 degree, 3D virtual reality of the lungs of a coronavirus patient in his 50s. The images show the infection devastating his lungs in green, compared to the healthy, clear blue tissue. Dr. Keith Mortman, chief of thoracic surgery at the hospitals says that ‘you don’t need an MD after your name’ to see how badly the virus damaged significant portions of the man’s lungs.
