Two people are dead and multiple people are injured after a drive-by shooting on the set of a rap music video in Texas.
The men, who police described as being Hispanic males in their early twenties, were filming in the parking lot of an office in Houston on Friday at 9.30pm when the shooters ‘ambushed’ them.
They opened fire, wounding eight people in total, including the two who died.
The six who survived are in the hospital, some with serious injuries.
It remains unclear whether police have identified any suspects. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting yet and none of the victims have been identified.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the men were filming between several parked vehicles in the parking lot when the shooting happened.
‘There were other vehicles that were staged there and we believe they were filming some type of music video when, all of a sudden, basically they were ambushed, we believed by individuals in cars and/or foot that fired shots into the parking lot area,’ he said at a press conference.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
