Tamron Hall’s Daytime Talk Show Gets Renewed for Second Season, Hall Says She Is ‘Thrilled’

It’s an early Christmas gift for fans of syndicated daytime talk show Tamron Hall, as news breaks that it has been picked up for a second season after the chat fest performed solidly for three months.

Produced and distributed by Disney, 49-year-old host and executive producer Tamron Hall said she is “thrilled” that it has been cleared in 80 percent of the country for next season.

“I’m thrilled our show has been renewed for a second season! Thanks to my partners at Disney and ABC for this incredible show of support,” said the fab woman of faith in a statement per The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m honored to host and executive produce a daytime talk show that explores conversation topics that really matter to our viewers, who we affectionately refer to as our ‘TamFam.”

The wife and new mom entered into an already crowded talk space in syndication earlier this year and has managed to break through the noise, ranking second behind The Kelly Clarkson Show, which has also been renewed for another season.

Hall, whose show tied its season high in household ratings for nine consecutive weeks, thanked her fans and supporters on the show for what she is calling the “gift” of renewal. Her audience cheered with delight upon learning that one of their favorite newcomers will be gracing their television screens for yet another season.

“As one of the highest-rated new talk shows in five years, Tamron Hall is connecting with audiences in such a powerful and unique way, and we are thrilled to build on that momentum with a second season,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said Thursday in a statement. “Tamron’s authenticity and her stunning ability to engage with viewers is remarkable, and we look forward to continued success working with our incredible station partners.”
