Two Guards at Jail Where Epstein was Held Plead Not Guilty to Falsifying Records About Night he ‘Killed himself’ in his Cell and Are Released on Bond, as It’s Revealed They Told Their Supervisors They Had ‘Messed Up’ and ‘Didn’t Do Any Checks’

Two correctional officers who were responsible for guarding Jeffrey Epstein in his New York jail cell have pleaded not guilty to charges they falsified records to cover up their failure to check in on him the night he killed himself. Tova Noel, 31, and Michael Thomas, 41, appeared in a Manhattan court on Tuesday afternoon where they were arraigned on charges of falsifying records and conspiracy in relation to Epstein’s death. Noel and Thomas, who had both self-surrendered for arrest to the FBI earlier in the day, were supported by around a dozen correctional officers in the courtroom. They are accused of falling asleep and surfing the internet instead of checking on the millionaire pedophile in his cell just 15 feet away from them at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10.
