According to Daily Mail, More than a thousand worshippers flocked to Kanye West’s Sunday Service in Louisiana on Friday night, committing their lives to Christ alongside the rap star. The service was held at Bethany Church, Baton Rouge, and according to Curvine Brewington, a pastor at Crossroads Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, at least 1,000 people accepted Jesus during an altar call – a moment for congregants to make a new spiritual commitment. ‘In a crowd of 6,000 people from all walks of life, all ages, and all races, I witnessed over 1,000 people respond to The Gospel by raising their hands to accept Jesus as their Lord & Savior,’ Brewington said in a post to Instagram. Pastor Brewington said there was an altar call during the service – a tradition in some Christian churches for those who wish to make a fresh spiritual commitment to come forward publicly. It was at that time, that at least 1,000 people came forward to accept Jesus, according to the pastor. ‘Tonight, worship was lifted, the name of Christ was exalted, the Word of God was preached, a multitude prayed together, the Gospel was clearly proclaimed, and an opportunity to respond was given,’ he added.

According to The Sun, Babies were reportedly burned alive and kids shot in the back after ruthless cartel killers slaughtered nine US Mormons in a “targeted” hit in Mexico. The helpless victims were ambushed by the merciless gunmen as they drove to a wedding in the border state of Sonora yesterday. Police have arrested three people in connection with the depraved massacre, a source told Milenio Televisión earlier today – while US super cops in the FBI have also offered to help Mexican authorities. Seventeen members of the LeBaron and Langford families were travelling in three cars when gunmen sprayed their vehicles with bullets. Some of the victims – including babies – were then reportedly burned alive amid fears female victims were raped, reports DailyMail.com. Apart from the nine killed, others are still missing sparking genuine concerns the death toll in the wake of the atrocity will soon rise. It is still unclear what motivated the killings, which took place on a dirt road between Chihuahua and Sonora states.

According to Charisma News, An 11-year-old boy died Sunday after being hit by an SUV Friday night at a church’s trunk-or-treat event. Noah Isaac Chambers was hit at about 7 p.m. in front of Bethel United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. He was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in critical condition. While Chambers was still on life support at the hospital, a GoFundMe account said his loved ones were “still praying for a miracle.” When Chambers passed away, the account’s organizer, Maria Hudson, asked people to “please keep praying for his family.” Many in the community stopped by Bethel United Methodist Church to bring flowers, candy, balloons and more in Chambers’ memory.

According to Associated Press, Former President Jimmy Carter taught a Bible lesson on life after death Sunday less than two weeks after breaking his pelvis in a fall. Using a walker, the 95-year-old Democrat slowly entered the crowded sanctuary at Maranatha Baptist Church in the southwest Georgia town of Plains. With help, Carter sat on a motorized lift chair at the front of the room to teach a 45-minute lesson based on the Old Testament book of Job. Referring to a cancer diagnosis that resulted in the removal of part of his liver in 2015, Carter said he was is “at ease” with the idea of dying and believes in life after death. Carter remained for the worship service after teaching, sitting in a pew beside his wife, Rosalynn, and singing hymns with the congregation.

According to CNN, Rihanna, LL Cool J, Gigi Hadid and other celebrities have joined Kim Kardashian West in trying to stop the execution of a Texas death row inmate later this month, prompting hundreds of thousands to sign an online petition against the execution. Singer Rihanna tweeted: “One Click!!! SIGN this petition if you don’t believe the Government should kill an innocent man,” and tagged Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. Reed has spent more than 21 years on death row for the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites in 1996. He insists he is innocent, and a former prison inmate last week filed an affidavit in court saying Stites’ fiancé confessed the murder to him years ago. The fiancé’s attorney says that claim is not credible. Other witnesses have come forth in recent weeks suggesting Reed is innocent. Last week, Reed’s attorneys filed an application for clemency as they try to stop his November 20 execution.

According to Reuters, Turkey captured the sister of dead Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Monday in the northern Syrian town of Azaz, a senior Turkish official told Reuters, and is interrogating her husband and daughter-in-law who were also detained. Rasmiya Awad, 65, was detained in a raid near Azaz, the official said, referring to a Turkish-controlled Syrian town near the border. When captured, she was also accompanied by five children. “We hope to gather a trove of intelligence from Baghdadi’s sister on the inner workings of ISIS,” the official said. Little independent information is available on Baghdadi’s sister and Reuters was not immediately able to verify if the captured individual was her.

According to Associated Press, More than 450 inmates walked out the doors of prisons across Oklahoma on Monday as part of what state officials say is the largest single-day mass commutation in U.S. history. The release of inmates, all with convictions for low-level drug and property crimes, resulted from a bill signed by new Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt. The bill retroactively applied misdemeanor sentences for simple drug possession and low-level property crimes that state voters approved in 2016. Stitt has made reducing Oklahoma’s highest-in-the-nation incarceration rate one of his top priorities and has appointed reform-minded members to the state’s Pardon and Parole Board. Releasing the inmates will save Oklahoma an estimated $11.9 million over the cost of continuing to keep them behind bars, according to the governor’s office.

In closing, remember, God loves you. He always has and He always will. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” If you don’t know Jesus as your Saviour, today is a good day to get to know Him. Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead for you. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart and He will. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Thanks so much for listening and may God bless your day!
