Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says his friend and co-star Kevin Hart is doing well, following his recent car accident.

“Everything is good,” the former wrestler shared on the premiere episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Monday. Johnson, who has acted with Hart in “Central Intelligence,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and its sequel “The Next Level” due in December, left his honeymoon prematurely to fill in for the comedian on the talk show.

According to the report, Hart, 40, was a passenger in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it drove off Mulholland Highway and rolled down an embankment around 12:45 a.m. local time Sept. 1. The CHP report says the car lost control as it turned from a canyon road onto the highway. Two of the car’s three occupants were trapped in the vehicle.

After learning of the incident, Johnson posted a sweet tribute to Hart, writing on Instagram: “Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together.”

During Monday’s TV appearance, Johnson was more lighthearted, continuing his shtick of making fun of Hart for his size.

“I spoke with Kevin – I actually refer to him as my son – I connected with him today. And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat,” the actor teased, before bring up Hart’s “pediatrician.”

“He’s doing very well,” Johnson added, taking a more sincere tone. “He’s bummed he couldn’t be here, as you know, but look, I love the guy. He’s one of my best friends.
