WATCH: Woman Prays “Father, We Look to You…There is No One Else for Us but You” as Her Home in the Bahamas is Flooded by Hurricane Dorian

Strong winds from Hurricane Dorian blow the tops of trees and brush while whisking up water from the surface of a canal that leads to the sea, located behind the brush at top, seen from the balcony of a hotel in Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas, Monday, Sept. 2, 2019. The prime minister of the Bahamas, Hubert Minnis, says five people have died in Hurricane Dorian, including an 8-year-old boy.

Around 13,000 homes have been destroyed in the massive storm. Images show floodwaters almost reaching rooftops and cars floating in rivers where roads once were.

“We are in the midst of a historic tragedy in parts of our northern Bahamas,” Minnis told reporters, according to CNN. “… Our mission and focus now is search, rescue and recovery. I ask for your prayers for those in affected areas and for our first responders.”

Dorian hit the Bahamas as a Category 5 storm. It has since weakened to a Category 4.

One mother of an infant begged for prayer on a Facebook Live video as she and her family took refuge on the upstairs balcony of their home.

The same woman posted a video of a family member waging spiritual warfare over the hurricane and crying out to God for divine protection.
