Gunman Reported in State Government Buildings in Vermont’s Capitol Complex

Authorities took the necessary precautions when a person carrying a gun was reported seen entering government buildings in Vermont’s capital. The report led to several buildings been put on lockdown for at least four hours, according to the Associated Press.

Staff members were evacuated and police spent hours searching the government buildings for the suspected gunman.

A statement from the State Department of Human Resources said, “our understanding is that the situation is well under control and not a danger.”
