Tragic: Texas 15-Year-Old Dead After Getting Shot in the Face with AR-15; Suspect Still At-large, Police Say

A 15-year-old boy died Monday in Texas after he was shot in the face with an AR-15 by an unidentified suspect, police said.

The victim has been identified by officials as Zavhon Brown, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

He was reportedly shot Monday morning in the Gander Park neighborhood of Converse, Texas, which is located about 15 miles outside of San Antonio.

Converse Police said they located the weapon after they arrived at the scene, where they found the injured teenager following the shooting.

Brown died at the San Antonio Military Medical Center after suffering the gunshot wound, the Express-News reported, citing the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Officials are now searching for the suspect, whom they believe acted intentionally and knew the victim at the time of the incident.
