Police in the West Texas city of El Paso have responded to reports of an active shooter in a commercial area near a mall on Saturday.

KTSM-TV reported 18 were dead in the shooting inside a Walmart.

A police spokesman had not confirmed that information, but the TV station said they were told the information from a police source.

The TV station also reported one man was in custody and police said they believe that suspect is the lone shooter.

A photo was obtained by the TV station that police confirmed showed the suspect entering the Walmart at Cielo Vista around 10 a.m. Saturday.
