Ezekiel Elliott’s Lawyer Says He is a ‘Target of Extortion’ after Vegas Security Guard Presses Charges

The security guard Ezekiel Elliott shoved this past May in Las Vegas has filed charges against the Dallas Cowboys running back.

Kyle Johnson, the security guard Elliott shoved into a metal fence during EDC Las Vegas, said he does not want to see the 23-year-old go unpunished.

“The NFL is basically saying ‘It’s OK for you to go to Vegas, get obliterated, and then shove people’,” he told Fox 5 Las Vegas on Friday.

Police never arrested Elliott following the incident and the NFL did not levy any discipline toward him.

On Saturday, Elliott’s lawyers issued NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport a statement saying that he is “a target of extortion.”

“Kyle Johnson’s filing of a criminal complaint against Mr. Elliott in connection with the Las Vegas incident is the latest attempt to do so. Mr. Elliott and his team are in contact with all of the proper authorities and are fully cooperating with them in their investigations,” the statement read.
