Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton had his left arm amputated after a multi-vehicle early morning crash in south Florida, according to reports.
Sources told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Norton, 22, was in critical condition at a hospital in Miami, but is expected to survive. Paramedics needed to amputate the left arm of the former Miami Hurricanes standout to extract him from the vehicle, a source told the newspaper.
Norton’s agent, Malki Kawa, confirmed the amputation on Twitter.
Team officials confirmed in a tweet that they were made aware early Thursday of a “serious car accident” involving Norton, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2018 before being claimed by Miami late last year.
