This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #326, titled, “The Solution to This Thing Called Life.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
THE SAD SITUATION:
The Bible says that every person is a sinner and separated from God. The Bible says in 1 John 1:8, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…”
Matthew 16:26 says, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
THE SAVING SOLUTION:
The Bible says that because God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins, we can be re-connected with God. 1 Corinthians. 15:3,4 says, “…Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;…he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
Titus 3:5 says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us”
Jesus Christ said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
THE REQUIRED RESPONSE:
The Bible says that we have to make a choice. Salvation is only for those who throw themselves on the mercy of God and trust in Jesus Christ. Acts 16:31 says, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”
1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
THE REWARDING RESULTS:
The Bible says that those who rely upon Jesus for salvation are forgiven and fully accepted as children of God. John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Romans. 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”
1 Peter 5:4 says, “And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”
If you want to fall into the merciful arms of God and trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer: “Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and that I have lived as though You never existed. I also confess that the only way I can ever be reconciled to You is through Your Son, Jesus Christ. And by your mercy, I believe and accept Christ’s saving work on the cross on my behalf. I now commit myself to turn away from my sins. Help me to live a new life of love and obedience to You. This I pray in the Name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.”
