Imagine where the Golden State Warriors would be if they never drafted Steph Curry (we’re willing to bet they wouldn’t be on their way to a fourth title in five seasons).
Well, Dub Nation, it’s a good thing Dell Curry didn’t get his wish.
In a recent interview with NBC Sports, the former player and father of the two-time MVP said he told the Warriors not to select his son with the seventh overall pick in 2009.
“I remember (then-Warriors coach) Don Nelson called me and said, ‘Hey, what’s your feelings towards (us) drafting your son?’ I said, ‘Don’t. You asked me the question, I’m going to tell you the truth. Don’t.’
