KENOSHA, WI – 15-year-old Martice Fuller, wanted in connection to a shooting that left a 16-year-old girl dead and her 39-year-old mother seriously injured, was taken into custody Friday morning, May 10. The shooting happened on Thursday, May 9 on 66th Street in Kenosha.
During a manhunt for Fuller, Kenosha police detectives received information that he was at a Kenosha residence in the area of 22 Avenue and 63rd Street. The Tactical Response Team served a warrant on the residence around 4 a.m. Friday. However, Fuller was not located and no physical evidence was recovered there.
Shortly thereafter, the Kenosha Police Department received a call from a person in Racine. The caller indicated that Fuller was there and wanted to surrender.
Detectives responded the area of Blake Avenue and Rapids Drive in Racine. Fuller was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Kenosha for questioning. Physical evidence was recovered, however, no firearm has been located.
Police say Martice Fuller had a relationship with the 16-year-old girl — now identified as Kaylie Juga. Throughout the night police personnel maintained a presence at the crime scene and at the hospital where the second victim, 39-year-old Stephanie Juga, was treated. Stephanie remains in stable, but serious condition.
