George Foreman Is Hit With Another Tragedy After Fire Breaks Out at His Texas Mansion in Garage Full of Classic Cars Worth Millions of Dollars

Boxing legend George Foreman and his family escaped without injury after a fire broke out in the garage at his Texas mansion which contains 40 luxury cars.

The blaze at his Huffman mansion started Sunday night from a golf cart in the back of the garage. The two-time heavyweight world champion tweeted to reassure fans he’s OK.

The tweet read: ‘Don’t worry all is well, Dogs are barking and I don’t mean my feet.

‘Thanks to all the fire fighters. Huffman, Houston New caney. Atascosita. Al them guy and women.’

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said that the fire was contained in the garage that is connected to the 70-year-old’s home where he lives with his fifth wife Mary Joan Martelly.

‘Right now it looks like the cars are in pretty good shape. We do have an origin that’s towards the back of the garage, but there’s a lot of smoke damage and water damage,’ Rachel Moreno with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said, according to abc13.

The boxing Hall Of Famer is known to have an extensive classic car collection numbering 50 plus, with Ferraris – including a Ferrari F40 worth around $560,000 – Corvettes and a Rolls-Royce.

Foreman is known to have an iconic Ford GT original, which has sold at auction for more than $1million.

The former boxer told TV presenter Graham Besinger in 2013: ‘Ive always loved cars, even now I have a collection.’

He added that the one car he wouldn’t sell is his 1977 Volkswagen Beetle convertible.
