Elizabeth Smart to Keynote Samaritan Inn’s 3rd Annual Inn Bloom Luncheon on May 9 in Allen, Texas

Elizabeth Smart was 14 when she was abducted in 2002. She spent nine months at the mercy of her captors. She will speak Monday, March 30, 2015, in Grand Forks.

Elizabeth Smart will share her story during The Samaritan Inn’s third annual Inn Bloom luncheon on May 9 at the new Delta Hotel by Marriott in Allen.

When she was 14 years old, Smart gained national attention when she was abducted from her home in Salt Lake City. For nine months Smart endured threats and abuse by her captors before police rescued her.

Today, she is a wife and mother, as well as an author, advocate and contributor to ABC News. In her new book, “Where There’s Hope,” Smart shares her insight into what it takes to overcome trauma, find the strength to move on, and how to reclaim one’s life.
