While McDonald’s and Dunkin’ were fighting over their eerily similar menu items—Donut Sticks and Donut Fries—Taco Bell was busy perfecting an even better version of the cinnamon-sugar sweet. On Thursday, the brand announced their new limited-edition Churro Donuts…and they’re only $1.
Touting the menu addition as “everything you know and love about a churro in the shape of a donut,” the warm, deep fried donuts are hitting Kansas City stores—yes, only KC—as a test run. And while they’re not currently available nationwide, I have a hunch they’ll go mainstream soon. Namely because they’ve already garnered quite the fanbase. People are freaking out all over Twitter.
“Feeling very blessed that Taco Bell has decided that Kansas City is a worthy market to test the Churro donut,” one user wrote, with another adding: “Be still my ❤️.”
Churro donuts will be just one of a million delicious things you can find.
