Here We Go: Former Transgender Man Now Identifies as an ‘Agender Alien’

Extraterrestrial: The 33-year-old has gone as far as having surgery to remove their nipples in order to make them appear ‘less human’

A 33-year-old, who was born as a woman before transitioning into a man, has revealed that they think they belong to any gender, and is an alien.

Jareth Nebula, from Edmonds, Washington, transitioned from female to male and changed their name at the age of 29.

The barber’s shop receptionist, who also works as a model, has even gone as far as having their nipples removed in order to ‘feel less human’.

According to the Mirror, Jareth, who identifies as agender – which translates to ‘without gender’ – and prefers to be referred to with the pronoun they, named himself after the character played by David Bowie in the 1986 musical fantasy Labyrinth.

Unlike the term gender-fluid – which refers to a person’s whose gender identity is not fixed, or a person who feel they are a mix of both genders – agender typically refers to being gender-less, without a gender, or gender neutral.

Jareth, who chose not to disclose their birth name, has a total of 78 stars across their body, and has shaved off their eyebrows to add to the alien look.

Explaining their transition journey, Jareth said: ‘After coming out as transgender and believing I had finally found myself, I realized I was wrong – I wasn’t male or female, or even human.

‘I don’t think or feel like humans. I can’t really explain it to others – I’m simply otherworldly.

‘I didn’t feel comfortable as either gender or even anything in between. I know I’m stuck in a human form and that’s how I’m perceived by others – but to me, I’m an alien with no gender,’ he added.

Jareth said they began thinking they didn’t fit in among their peers when they were diagnosed with a rare condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) at the age of 26.

The condition is a group of disorders that affect connective tissues supporting a number of organs and tissues including the skin, bones, and blood vessels.

According to Mayo Clinic, the disorder can result in over-flexible joints, as well as stretchy and fragile skin.

As a result of the disorder, Jareth was named ‘Mr Elastic’ by their doctors.

Speaking about the condition, which leaves Jareth’s skin wrinkle-free, they said: ‘The condition means I can pop my joints out on purpose, which was a fun party trick when I was a kid.
