A pro-choice doctor who claims it’s God’s will for him to abort babies has agreed to debate a pro-life sociology and criminology professor.
The two men are gearing up for a debate over whether abortion is a reproductive right or a moral wrong.
Both men call themselves Christians but hold very different views on abortion.
Dr. Willie Parker will represent the pro-choice side. Parker claims to have performed more than 10,000 abortions and believes he is honoring Christ by performing abortions in one of the nation’s most pro-life states – Mississippi.
“I believe that as an abortion provider I am doing God’s work,” he has said. In his book, Life’s Work: A Moral Argument for Choice, he argues that it is a scientific fact that life does not begin at conception.
On the other side is Prof. Mike Adams, a pro-life columnist and professor at UNC-Wilmington who believes abortion is fundamentally wrong.
