A Florida woman who was caught driving drunk on Thursday launched into a horrifying racist tirade at the black deputy who arrested her.
Julie Edwards, 53, was charged with resisting an officer without violence, driving under the influence and refusing to submit a DUI test, according to a charging affidavit.
Edwards was additionally charged with making a threat against a law enforcement officer after she was filmed screaming at Volusia County Sheriff’s deputy Brandon King.
At approximately 11.50pm, King was dispatched to a home in DeLand where he found Edwards trying to back her black Lexus into the property.
King noted that the woman reeked of alcohol as she spoke and her words were slurred.
The deputy noticed that the woman was ‘uneasy on her feet’ and asked for her consent to conduct a sobriety test, which she repeatedly refused.

At one point, Deputy King grabbed the woman by her arm and she purposefully fell to the ground and refused to get up. An assisting deputy, who is white, had to help King get the woman on her feet.
Edwards also refused to get in the patrol car after several verbal commands but she truly started her verbal assault once seated.
‘I’m going to sue the f**k out of you and you know what, I’ll buy me a house because of you,’ she says in dashcam footage that the department shared on Tuesday.

Edwards repeatedly refers to King as ‘boy’ as she rides in the back seat. The racist woman tells the deputy that she will find him on a corner.
‘I won’t find you, my KKK people will,’ she asserts as the deputy asks her if she is threatening him, to which she responds no.
‘Ain’t a damn thing wrong with a burning cross in your yard,’ she also retorts.
The deputy hardly engages with Edwards, listening to Migos and country music in the background.
‘You f***ing with the wrong white people,’ she continues. ‘Hope you don’t have any kids, do you know what is going to happen now. They are going to hurt you bad.
‘You don’t f**k with a white girl. Not like you do.’

Edwards tells King that he will have his eyes ‘poked out’ before calling him a ‘n****r’ and the other deputy a ‘white n****r.’
‘KKK got your a** boy,’ she says. ‘Fire on your a**.’
The irate woman then claims that she will send all the ‘n****rs’ back and that she will burn the rest.
As the ride continues, Edwards ask: ‘So do they have special incentives to hire n****rs for cops.’
Neither of the deputies respond before Edwards states that her ‘KKK friends’ will burn King’s family.

‘Have you ever been whipped on a whipping post,’ she asks before adding inaudible comments about whipping.
The video comes to a close with King listening to his music and Edwards finally being quiet.
About the video, Sheriff Mike Chitwood said: ‘Watch this video if you need any more proof that there’s no expiration date on ignorance.’
Edwards’ Facebook page indicates that she is retired and in a ‘complicated’ relationship. However, searches among her friends did reveal images paying homage to the Confederacy.
She is currently at the Volusia County Branch Jail with a bond of $2500.
King’s social media indicates that he is married and has one child.
